Membership Information

National Technical Honor Society is a chapter-based organization. A school must have an active chapter to register new members. If you are a school employee, click here to learn how to start a chapter.

Members can be invited to join a local chapter if they meet the national criteria and the school-based criteria. If you think your school already has a chapter, you can use the chapter lookup tool to confirm. From there, you can check your school website for the contact information of the local NTHS advisor.

Becoming a member of NTHS is an honor and comes with benefits, like access to exclusive scholarship opportunities. Invited members pay a one-time national membership fee of $30 directly to the school’s chapter, which then submits a group payment to the national office.

Student members can log into their online portal to access their member benefits once fully registered in our national database by the NTHS advisor.

NTHS student members switch over to alumni members six months after graduation. Alumni members can log into the NTHS Portal to access their general letter of verification and partner discounts. Learn more about Alumni member benefits here.
